Description
DWDM network to carry advanced telecommunications and data services to underserved communities of Washington State. This network parallels the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) transmission system and uses fiber supplied by BPA, plus those of other providers in areas where BPA fiber is not available. In designing this network, special attention was paid to fault-tolerance, redundancy and carrier class operation in order to provide customers with services on a par with those available in any major West Coast metropolitan center. To that end, NoaNet selected Cisco Systems to provide the equipment necessary to build an advanced network over a wide geographical area. NoaNet is pleased to be a Cisco Powered Network . The NoaNet network presently runs over multiple OC-192s to provide TDM, Ethernet and IP terminations to customers at any location on the network. NoaNet members' local networks extend into many communities around the NoaNet ring, providing access to thousands of new subscribers, many of whom have never before had access to advanced telecommunication services. For a geographical view of the NoaNet network, please forward requests to NoaNet Infrastructure information
