NOCO Energy Corp., located in Tonawanda, New York, is a family owned and operated petroleum distribution business. NOCO was founded in 1933 by Reginald B. Newman and was incorporated as R.B. Newman Fuel Company on January 12, 1948. R.B. Newman Fuel started out supplying coal to residential customers. In 1939, Mr. Newman expanded his business and began delivering home heating oil to his customers as the demand for coal decreased and was being replaced by fuel oil.Reginald’s two sons joined the company, Donald F. Newman in 1954 and Reginald B. Newman II in 1960. The sons continued the tradition of growth broadening its product lines and marketing area. NOCO also maintains its own fleet for transportation and distribution of products.In 1985, NOCO purchased an adjacent 10 million gallon operation from Ashland Oil to give the company over 42 million gallons of petroleum storage capacity.
