Natara Software was founded in 1998 in Naperville, Illinois to provide applications and development services to the handheld device market. Natara's first product, Project@Hand, was developed to provide project managers the convenience of "on-the-go" information collection. Following Project@Hand, Natara released DayNotez journaling application (and one of Handheld Computing Magazine's Best Products of 2002), and the outliner program, Bonsai, another Handheld Computing Top Pick. Natara's most recent releases include: Project@Hand 2, a new project management application featuring an advanced scheduling engine; Bonsai 5, a major update to Bonsai with a long list of new features, and three new products, Comet, a communications log for owners of Palm Treo devices, DatePak, an innovative calendar distribution product and Quanto, a easy to use time measurement tool.Natara's development philosophy is simple: Handhelds are an extension to the desktop, not a replacement. For that reason, we believe it is important to provide strong ties to desktop applications. Our products either provide a desktop application (Bonsai, DayNotez, Comet and DatePak), or synchronize with existing desktop applications (Project@Hand). We listen to our customers by incorporating their suggestions and ideas into our new products as well as our updates. We collect valuable feedback through Natara's User Forums and e-mails and then implement the suggestions into our applications. Customers frequently contact us to say how pleased they are that one of their recommendations was actually utilized.
