Description
For over 30 years, Resource Center has been a trusted leader providing programs and services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and all people affected by HIV and AIDS. As times have changed, so have the needs of the communities we serve.
The Center's food pantry was founded in 1985 out of a cardboard box at the corner of Cedar Springs Road and Throckmorton Street in front of the Crossroads Market. Today, the pantry serves more than 800 people living with HIV each week, providing fresh produce, canned goods, frozen foods and perishables.
Even with the best, most inclusive workplace policies, cultural competency training is needed to bring those policies to life. Today's competitive marketplace makes it more important than ever to recruit and retain talented and diverse employees while providing world-class customer service to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) communities.
Welcome to the new online-home of Resource Center, made possible by support and strategic input from board of directors, staff, community and donors. This critical part of the Center’s rebranding initiative features a reorganization of information to provide you with information about our programs, services and opportunities to get involved and the Center's new name and logo. We endeavour to provide you with updated information, and we hope that you visit the site often.
Resource Center is recognized across North Texas and statewide for the training we provide to businesses, colleges and universities, and governmental bodies. Our training provides opportunities for education and discussion about HIV health, diversity and inclusion.
