The system works by allowing administrators with multiple cPanel servers to simplify and centralize DNS. Since cPanel allows the end users to modify DNS records these modifications have to be made on each DNS server hosting that domain. With a DNSONLY system you can configure each of your primary cPanel servers to send its DNS records to a dedicated DNS cluster. From there the cluster will store those changes and publish them.
