Eloiza Martinez joined the Board for Nevada H.A.N.D., Incorporated in 1994, and serves as the Chairwoman. She is currently an Assistant Vice President and Community Reinvestment Officer for Wells Fargo Bank and has over 25 years of banking experience. Martinez supervises the Community Development Loan Department, which insures loans are made to low and moderate-income people. She also conducts banking classes in both English and Spanish. Martinez's community involvement includes: Past President and current treasurer for the Latin Chamber of Commerce, President of the NHS of Southern Nevada and current President Elect, NALA, President for Golden Rule, Past President of Habitat for Humanity and currently on the executive team, Xmas in April, Election Volunteer, Optimist Club-Sunrise Culture, board member for Nevada Micro Enterprise Initiative, director for the redevelopment committee for the City of North Las Vegas, and on the advisory board for the Clark County Juvenile Services.B. Duane Sonnenberg joined the Board for Nevada H.A.N.D., Incorporated in 1994, and serves as the Vice-Chairman. Since 1995 Sonnenberg has written over $28.5 million in grant requests and been awarded $20.5 million in funding with an average grant award of $164,000. In that position he is also responsible for the Emergency/Disaster Response of The Salvation Army in Clark County and is the State of Nevada VOAD Chairman. Prior to this position, he was the Administrator of the Homeless Services Department Salvation Army for 15 years. This department provides services that include 100 shelter beds, a day shelter, two mental health facilities, vocational training programs, case management and outreach services and serves approximately 900 meals daily. He is a State of Nevada Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a Licensed Residential Facility Administrator. Ordained by the Church of the Nazarene in 1972 he served 15 years as a pastor. Stan Herman joined the Board for Nevada H.A.N.D., Incorporated in early 2005. He currently serves as the Secretary. Herman was born in Glasgow, Scotland. He was one of four brothers that were all professional boxers. Herman professionally boxed for three years all over Europe. When Herman was 19 years old he moved from Scotland to London to work in the garment industry. He immigrated to California 48 years ago. Herman has two daughters, two sons, and three grandchildren, and currently resides at one of our family communities.Rev. H. Edward Rowe, B.A., Th.M., D.D. joined the Board for Nevada H.A.N.D., Incorporated in 2005. He has over 45 years of experience in management, consulting, grant writing and marketing, working for a number of not for profit corporations. Rowe has professional experience with general administration, grant writing, public relations, broadcasting, seminar presentation / teaching, and contract negotiation / writing. Author of four published books, Rowe currently serves as a marketing and website writer, editor, and consultant. He and his wife Lois have four children, and currently reside at one of our senior living communities. Yvonne Martinez joined the Board for Nevada H.A.N.D., Incorporated in 2006.
