NETCO charters tankers for transport of liquid bulk chemicals, vegetable oils, lubricants, and clean petroleum products. We specialize in spot and contract chartering, but also excel in period charters, sales and purchase, and financial ventures. In 1984, after 20 years of experience in the tanker shipping business, Kevin T. O’Hara founded New England Tanker Chartering (NETCO). Kevin saw a remarkable opportunity for client based charters in parcel shipping. He opened the first office in Rowayton, CT that same year. Today the Connecticut office still offers full broker services as well as operations support, logistics, reporting, and demurrage. In 2000, NETCO opened the Houston office. Today, this is the largest office, and employs 6 brokers, 5 operations specialists, and one demurrage analyst.
