The Alliance was created in 1994 by the State Legislature to provide increased access to voluntary health insurance for small businesses, self-employed and qualified individuals.To improve New Mexicans’ quality of life by providing access to quality health insurance products and services through an alliance of health insurance carriers.To fulfill a healthcare need for those who are unable to qualify for commercial health insurance due to participation and underwriting criteria.
