New Millennium Building Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of Steel Dynamics, Inc. Founded in 1999 in Butler, Indiana, a second plant began production in 2005 in Lake City, Florida. Both plants have the latest technology and innovations available today. A merger with John W. Hancock, Jr., LLC and Socar, Inc. in 2006 resulted in a dynamic team of people, equipment and attitude. John W. Hancock, Jr., Inc. was the longest continuously operating steel joist company in the United States with the plant in Salem, Virginia.
