New York Sewing Machine has been serving the industry since 1930 and is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers and distributors of both new and rebuilt specialty sewing machines, attachments and 'labor-saving' devices. Since 1930 when Max Rosenberg invented the zig-zag top piper, product development has continued and attachments have been designed for all major and minor areas for sewn products. The current officers of New York Sewing Machine, Inc. have a history going back since 1956 in the industry. Lester Rosenberg, the grandson of Max Rosenberg, is treasurer and secretary. Sheldon Rothstein, president, has been manufacturing attachments since 1956. His son David Rothstein, grew up as a young man in the factory and is now vice president.
