Description

We formed Nimble Partners in 2004 because we've always been inspired by communications that resonate with people and make understanding easier. We have successfully helped clients such as MIT, Harvard University, Cognizant, Verizon, Napster and many others by providing expert information architecture, user experience, and user interface design services that focus on what people value. Designers, engineers, and communications professionals speak very different languages. I help bring them all together, and I've been doing this for the past 15 years. As a design lead for ATG, I managed the interaction design for atg.com as well as for several other dynamically generated internal web applications, making sure everything we designed could be implemented (and took full advantage of the platform), and working with internal teams to plan the content that supported the site's features. Before that, I worked for four years as one of the webmasters for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. While at MIT, I helped maintain the Institute’s main website, web.mit.edu, and also consulted with departments and organizations across campus on web-related projects. MIT is a demanding environment for website design and production, and a successful project requires collaborating with external developers and designers to ensure sites meet the Institute's standards for web design, multiplatform compatibility, and accessibility. I'm also an MIT graduate, though with an unusual degree – a bachelor's in creative writing – so I'm a geek, but one who expresses herself through the written word rather than through code. I'm also a co-author of The MIT Guide to Teaching Web Site Design, published by the MIT Press in April 2001.
