Description

Organization North Valley Health Center (NVHC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation located in Warren, MN and is the only primary care medical facility located in northwest Minnesota’s Marshall County. Our hospital is designated as a Critical Access Hospital currently licensed for 20 beds and our primary care clinic is designated as a Rural Health Clinic. Our service area encompasses the municipalities of Argyle, Alvarado, Oslo, Stephen, and Warren plus nineteen townships located near those municipalities in Minnesota. NVHC is a community operated facility with one class of members that consists of any persons, within the NVHC service area, 18 years of age or older. NVHC is governed by an eleven member volunteer elected representatively by the members at annual board meetings, generally held in May. History NVHC began in 1905 when community members built the first hospital and was known as Warren Hospital up until 1981. The present facility was constructed during this time in 1958 along with the clinic addition in 1977. From 1981 to 1994, NVHC was known as Warren Community Hospital. Over the many years, NVHC changed from being a solely acute care facility to an inclusive health center offering a variety of primary medical services. In 1994, the facility name was changed once again to North Valley Health Center to better reflect the many and varied medical services being provided to area residents.
