Description
Casa Israel, an adult medical day care center, is licensed to serve up to 120 clients daily. The facility provides the highest quality care, including primary and preventive health care, as well as therapeutic and recreational services to Medicaid clients and other eligible adults. Casa Israel was started with the idea that our seniors should receive medical and social services in an atmosphere that allows for their dignity and self-esteem to remain intact. Clients receive transportation to and from Casa Israel, health monitoring by our nursing staff, transportation to the offices of physicians and therapists, nutritious meals, recreational activities, and social services. Casa Israel adds quality to the lives of our clients and their families, by providing the necessary support to maintain their independence and to remain productive members of their communities. The North Ward Center's Casa Israel Adult Medical Day Care Center currently has openings for Medicaid eligible and private individuals. For information concerning your eligibility, please stop by or call us. In addition to Casa Israel, the North Ward Center operates a Medical Transportation and a Meals-on-Wheels Program. Designed to take care of one of the most vulnerable groups in our community, our programs provide vital resources for our senior population. Our dedicated staff delivers nutritious meals daily to homebound seniors of the North Ward. For most of our clients, our employees are the only people they may see. -Medical Transportation Our Medical Transportation Program provides a safe and friendly service to all of our clients. In addition to offering curb-to-curb rides to doctor visits, the program transports seniors to recreational and social events throughout the area, to local shopping centers, and to movies or shows. A fixed-route system is available for senior citizen housing units and private pick ups within the North Ward. This service offers a dependable resource that our seniors can count on. For information on these programs call: 973-481-6145.
