For over sixty years, Northeastern Scale Models, Inc. has been providing model building materials for architects, model railroaders, miniaturists and other hobbyists. Several years ago, we pioneered the introduction of laser-cut wood kits for model railroaders and dollhouse miniaturists.Originally Northeastern Scale Models started in Methuen, MA in 1946 by the now-deceased James Doyle. In the fall of 2001, we have moved the laser-cutting portion of the business to our new facility in northern California. Additionally, we sold the model building materials portion of the business to Northeastern Scale Lumber Co. They continue to manufacture wood stripwood, sheetwood, structural shapes, siding and miniature moldings in Methuen, Massachusetts.
