He was a biology and physical education teacher and coach at Drummond High School for 36 years and experienced great fulfillment in that role …but he still wanted to educate others about insurance. He signed on as an agent with Northern Finnish Mutual Insurance in 1987. It ’s a perfect match. John, a people-oriented, creative problem-solver, thrives on building good relationships with customers. He has a positive sense of humor, is optimistic and enthusiastic and believes in the service-oriented work he is doing. He says helping others resolve their insurance needs is deeply satisfying as it allows them to enjoy life without worrying about unforeseen circumstances. John understands the challenges faced by others and says that earning his Master ’s degree in education and raising a family taught him practical life and business skills that apply to NFM customers. John is a life-long resident of Grand View, Wisconsin. He and his wife are delighted to live near their grown son and daughter-in-law, their daughter and son-in-law, and their four grandchildren. He finds joy in his family and grandkids plus hunting, fishing, and all of the sports the kids participate in.
