Description
The Colby Center for Psychiatry is dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate care to clients and their families.
All families have strengths that should be recognized and appreciated. Every creative effort should be made so that children can remain in their own homes and communities. Parents and professionals need to work together as equal partners. Services need to be flexible and designed to utilize families' strengths and meet their needs. Families that have a child with problems are not "dysfunctional." They are "multi-stressed" Parents have practical experience and insights to offer other parents and service providers.
Our mission is to provide high-quality behavioral health services, promoting and enhancing individual and community well-being.
Regional Behavioral Health Alignment Project (RAP). This project is the Network's major initiative for FY 2013-14. We are currently under contract with SAE and Associates, NYC to assist our members with transition to patient-centered Medicaid managed care. This initiative will position our members to better collect, report on, and manage cost, quality, and outcome data to meet the needs of managed care organizations and evolving primary care networks. This initiative includes an important public policy education and advocacy component to ensure both providers and policy makers are aware of issues concerning the implementation of healthcare reform. A work group has been established to advance the planning process.
We are Dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and their families living with mental illness and to reduce the stigma through Advocacy, Education and Information.
