About Nurses for Newborns Nurses for Newborn's mission is to provide a safety net for families most at risk; to help prevent infant mortality, child abuse and neglect through home based programs that provide education, healthcare and positive parenting skills. Nurses for Newborns Foundation was founded in 1991. It became a 501(c)3 organization in 1992. We are a nurse homevisiting agency. We have programs that serve teen moms, moms that are mentally or physically challenged, infants that are sick, and general population families that are in need. In addition to the medical component of our programs we assist families in getting connected with any additional medical, social or government services they may need. We maintain a donation bank with clothes, toys, diapers, blankets, car seats, baby beds and formula for our families that are in need. The donations come from community baby showers, school groups, formula companies, churches and individuals. A Message from our Executive Director: I am delighted you have visited our website! Nurses for Newborns Foundation is a growing, thriving non-profit organization dedicated to reducing infant mortality and child abuse and neglect.Donations of used or new infant clothing and articles are accepted in our offices 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Monetary donations may be sent to our offices at 7259 Lansdowne, Shrewsbury, MO 63119. To place your name on our mailing list or obtain other information please call 1-800-45BIRTH. There is always a nurse on call 24 hours a day for questions involving infant care.
