Jamie Thomas has been with O'Brien Constructors for over 20 years. In that time, he has worked on a variety of projects: public (The Dalles City Hall), private (Adelsheim Vineyard Winery), and combinations of both (Lincoln Park Athletic Complex). Jamie excels on projects that require careful planning and quick execution. Jamie's ability to motivate trade contractors, as well as our own forces, and to take advantage of opportunities to accelerate the schedule make him a valuable team member for any project with a fixed deadline.

Aaron is the head of our Specialty Projects Group, which handles all small and specialty projects such as our continuing contracts with TriMet and the Beaverton School District. Almost by definition, all of his projects are fast track and they are often in occupied facilities. Aaron joined O'Brien Constructors in 1996 as a finish carpenter. He quickly rose to his current position because of his diverse knowledge, from finish carpentry and casework to understanding all of the aspects of a tenant improvement, and his skills in dealing with people.

At O'Brien Constructors, we specialize in projects with high client involvement and design team integration. Our workload includes a mix of hard bid and alternative delivery method projects, such as design/build, construction manager/general contractor, and guaranteed maximum price, for both the public and private sectors. Our emphasis has always been to work on projects that we want to work on, that interest and excite our entire crew. This approach has led to work in a variety of high-end facilities such as hospitals, schools, wineries, hotels and industrial facilities.

Chandra Kern joined O'Brien Constructors in 2006 to provide back-up accounting and general office assistance. Her enthusiasm and expertise soon moved her up to focusing on accounts payable as well as serving on the safety committee and providing back-up for the project managers. Chandra is now the company Controller as well as head of the human resources department. Her steadfast dedication to not only getting the job done, but doing it well provides inspiration and guidance to all who work with her.

O’Brien Constructors met all of the expectations of Yamhill County to provide construction solutions that allowed the juvenile facility to continue operations while expanding. Their diligence to investigate and find construction solutions to existing conditions during the construction phase minimized cost and schedule impacts. They made sure to stay in constant communication with the user to minimize impacts to the current operations.
