For those seeking higher education opportunities, Bay de Noc Community College (known as Bay College) has been serving the area for over 40 years. The College, home to the first Michigan Technical Education Center in the State of Michigan, serves over 5,000 credit students per year, providing baccalaureate and master degree programs.

For the art lovers in the community, Pontiac boasts one of the largest collection of murals in Illinois. More than 20 different murals depicting events, people and places from the town's history are scattered throughout the area. The city is also proud to contain the International Walldog Mural & Sign Art Museum as well. If you're in the mood for theatre, Pontiac is also home to the Vermillion Players, a local theatre group that has been providing quality entertainment for over 40 years.

Known as the "Twin Cities" of central Illinois, Bloomington-Normal, Illinois is the perfect setting for those seeking an urban lifestyle in a country setting. Centrally located between Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis with a population of more than 125,000 residents, Bloomington-Normal is the twelfth most populous city in Illinois and the fifth largest outside the Chicagoland area. Bloomington has served as the county seat of McLean County since the county was founded in 1830 and the entire area sits at the crossroads of the largest interstates in Illinois: I-74, I-55, and I-39.

Monmouth is also the home of Monmouth College , a private liberal arts college that has been providing residents with higher education opportunities since it was founded in 1853. Monmouth College is best known as the home of the first national sorority in the United States, Pi Beta Phi.

Since it was founded in the 1830's, Galesburg has been a center for historic and cultural opportunities. Both Carl Sandburg and former President Ronald Reagan resided here and their homes are still available for viewing.
