Nalco-Champion is an Ecolab company specializing in technologies for abundant energy and water. Working with their customers, they faced the challenge of finding the value buried in massive amounts of data. They needed to find a new way to collect and process their customer's operational data in order to change their onsite workers from data collectors into value-adding trusted advisors. Working with OSIsoft and Microsoft, Nalco-Champion has developed Refined Knowledge™ – a platform for real-time insight.

For over 50 years, the IBM Burlington facility has been producing semiconductors in Burlington, Vermont. Since then, IBM Burlington has leverage the PI System to have achieve dramatic results from increasing manufacturing capability to reducing water usage by 27% to saving millions in yearly expenses.
