Oberkramer Contracting was established in 1985 as a railroad maintenance contractor with two backhoes, a dump truck, and three employees. The company has grown steadily since the 1980's by identifying the needs of our customers and meeting those needs with the appropriate blend of equipment and personnel. In 1997, Oberkramer created a subsidary, Frontier Enterprises , to address dump truck needs for both inside and outside the railroad industry. Recognizing the need for new rail track installation specialists, we also launched our Track Division in 2004. The Track Division provides customers with "one stop" service for the excavation, grading, hauling, installation, and maintenance of railroad track. Since our humble beginning, we have grown to nearly 60 employees and over 60 pieces of equipment to serve the railroad, trucking, and excavation needs of our clients throughout the Midwest. Our offices in Labadie, Missouri and Granite City, Illinois are ready to serve you.
