Description

Shonita received her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from Pitt Community College in 2005. Since that time, she has worked in numerous settings including the school system, home health care, daycare and home. She has worked with special needs children in public schools classrooms and has worked with a variety of disabilities including autism, developmental delay, cerebral palsy, sensory integrative disorder, and visual-perceptual/motor delays. Shonita is continuing to improve her clinical skills and is currently working on certification in the Handwriting Without Tears Program. In the home health care setting, Shonita has experience working with clients with a range of diagnosis to include strokes, neuromuscular disorders, upper extremity injuries and Alzheimers.

Paige graduated from Pitt Community College in 1998 with an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. Paige has 13 years of experience and has worked in numerous settings to include school systems, home health care, daycare, outpatient hospital and hand clinics. Paige has experience in directly working with children with a variety of disabilities including autism, developmental delay, cerebral, palsy, sensory integrative disorders and visual-motor/perceptual delays. Paige also has extensive experience in the hospital outpatient setting and currently provides treatment to clients with a variety of diagnosis to include hand patients, strokes, neuromuscular disorders, and upper extremities injuries.

"I have been working with pediatrics as well as home health patients for the past 5 years, providing therapy services for Northampton County and Beaufort County schools as well as Northampton County Home Health. I love working with the pediatric population because it allows me to provide treatment for children with various developmental disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other disorders. I especially enjoy the smile on a child's face and I love the feeling I get when they've reach a therapy goal.

Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from East Carolina University in 1998. She has worked since that time providing pediatric evaluations and treatment within the school, home, and child care setting. Jennifer has vast experience with autism and other complex language delays and disorders. She also has experience with childhood speech disorders including apraxia, selective mutism, stuttering, and articulation disorders. Serving Beaufort County for over 10 years, Jennifer is proud to be a part of Washington Therapy Center.

Connie graduated from Pitt Community College in 1998 with an Associates of Applied Science Degree. She has 13 years experience working with pediatrics in the school system, home, and daycare settings. Connie has experience in directly working with children with a variety of disabilities including autism, ADHD, Down’s syndrome, developmental delays, Cerebral Palsy, and sensory impairments.
