To top it all off, The Ocean Gate Resort has teamed up with one of New Englands' premier catering operations, Blue Elephant Events and Catering, to insure that you have both the spectacular location as well as top quality event planning and food and beverage services to make your day exactly as you had hoped it would be. Reuben Bell and Fausto Pifferrer bring over 25 years of catering experience to your special event and are well known for creating unique and memorable designer functions to fit any budget.

The Ocean Gate Resort was built in various stages starting in the mid 1950’s culminating with the addition of our Cedar Building in the mid 80’s. In December of 2006 the property was purchased by the current owners under the corporate name of GEM Hospitality Group. The new owners have already begun implementation of their long term capital improvement program, designed to maintain the facility in a condition befitting its’ spectacular location.

Ocean Gates’ 45 acre private oceanfront and wooded setting, combined with our unique property layout, housing guest accommodations in several individual buildings, allows us the flexibility to provide a measure of privacy and solitude for those that seek a more relaxing and peaceful visit to the mid-coast of Maine.
