Pike, New Hampshire — The Oliverian School announced a start date of July 1, 2014 for its new head of school and CEO, Will Laughlin, M.A., M.Ed., an educator and executive with more than twenty years’ experience in educational leadership and school improvement. Founded in 2003, Oliverian provides highly individualized college-preparatory academics and therapeutic support in a traditional boarding-school setting.

From our challenging academics, to our inspiring outdoor education programs and offerings in the arts, to our individualized Senior Projects, we provide a well-rounded education that creates a solid foundation for our students.

The Oliverian School is committed to individualized support with a structure of clear rules and policies. We provide ongoing conversations with students about what it means to live within a community. Our goal is to continue to focus on strong and loving personal connections while improving communication and preserving the vital balances between tolerance and accountability, freedom and responsibility, and support and challenge. The Student Handbook provides a structure to Oliverian that frames our program and prepares students for independence.

An exploration of curiosities from algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. You need not have substantial prior experience in any of these subjects, as supporting knowledge will be provided. This course endeavors to expand your appreciation and understand of mathematics and to cover material that does not fit neatly into any of the core academic math classes. Finally, if you are lacking math credit, and especially if you are a Senior, guess who has two thumbs and you’ll be spending the coming week with him. That’s right; this guy.
