iConverter GX/TM Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Device with Integrated Management and SFP Fiber Transceivers The iConverter GX/TM is a self-managed 10/100/1000 UTP to fiber media converter designed for FTTx (Fiber to the x) Metropolitan Broadband, Enterprise edge applications. It can be configured as a standalone Network Interface Device (NID) that provides a securely managed demarcation point, or as a plug-in module that can manage a chassis or be managed as a regular 10/100/1000 media converter. The GX/TM is the smallest form-factor NID available, and features VLAN technology, Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization and Port Access Control.Omnitron's unmanaged and managed media converters provide carrier-class fiber optic access in First-Mile FTTx broadband networks, Enterprise LANs and Metropolitan Area Networks worldwide. Used where copper to fiber, dual fiber to single fiber or multimode to singlemode fiber conversions are required, Omnitron media converters support 10, 100, 10/100, 10/100/1000 and Gigabit Ethernet, T1/E1, T3/E3, OC3/OC12 and serial technologies.
