Onega Consulting is a independent IT Consultancy, whose aim is to provide a wide range of IT support services. Whilst Onega may be new, the team behind it has a history of successfully working together. Formerly, the Onega crew represented the IT department of a major city based institutional investment company. When the firm merged with another investment house, in December 1999, Onega was formed. We only hire experienced staff, no juniors, who have an understanding of the client sector that they will be supporting, usually with 2-3 years IT related experience before joining us. Their knowledge means that their solutions are practical and implement able; whereby the consultant will drawn on their own experience and understanding of the sectors organisational culture. A typical client account will usually be continuously worked on by the same small team of consultants. This way the client receives continuity and benefits from people who have built up a strong working knowledge of their business and the issues. A portfolio of the consultants work can be provided on request by the client before or during the contract/project. We have no management hierarchy or a separate sales force - You will be talking directly to the people implementing the project from start to finish. Due to the ever increasing complexity and division of roles within the IT services Onega has developed a policy of building strong relationships with other companies and freelance consultants, who can provide services and support that either complement existing core services or provide a service that isn't available in house. Services covered by associate companies range from network infrastructure cabling, web design/development to risk management assessment. Due to some of the areas that our clients work in all full time consultants have to be CRB cleared.
