OpGen Incorporated is a privately held, whole-genome analysis company headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The company was founded in January 2002 by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF), with the objectives of developing and commercializing products and services based on proprietary Whole Genome Mapping technologies for high-precision microbial analysis markets.

MapIt® Services: Why do we provide MapIt® sample transport kits? There are several important reasons why we provide free sample transport kits to you. There are several types of transport kits and not all types meet all regulatory requirements for the transport of biological and/or infectious substances as regulated by law. Ours do. Next, we want to ensure that specimens are packed and transported per DOT and IATA rules and regulations to minimize risk and ensure safety of all persons involved in the transportation chain.

Dr. Ushio is a Managing Director at Harris & Harris Group. Prior to joining Harris & Harris Group in 2007, Dr. Ushio worked at Merck & Co. for over 10 years in BioProcess Research & Development focused on vaccines and biologics, and was a Technology Licensing Officer at Columbia University.

Mr. Jones is the Managing Member of jVen Capital, LLC, a life sciences investment company. Prior to forming jVen Capital, he was co-founder, Chairman and CEO of Digene Corporation, a publicly traded biotechnology company focused on women’s health and molecular diagnostic testing. He is a Board Member of Fluidigm, Inc., Foundation Medicine, Inc., and Veracyte, Inc. Mr. Jones is Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Children’s National Medical Center and a Board Member of the Children’s Research Institute. Mr.

Mr. Ross has extensive experience in all elements of commercial operations and has over 25 years of successful sales and marketing leadership in the Life Science and Clinical Diagnostics markets. Most recently Tom served as Chief Commercial Officer at Predictive BioSciences, a molecular diagnostics laboratory with a focus on Bladder and Prostate cancer. Prior to Predictive BioSciences, he was the Vice President of North America Medical Diagnostics Sales at QIAGEN/Digene Corporation. Prior to Digene, Tom held several senior leadership roles at Life Technologies and Cambrex.
