OpenIP Solutions is led by three communications professionals with an average of 20 years of experience in the IT field, serving clients in and around the Twin Cities. Each partner brings extensive expertise in their specialty to provide our customers with communication solutions that solve their business problems. We have first hand knowledge of the costly expenditures that organizations have for business communications. We have sold, implemented, and supported expensive brand name proprietary solutions from manufactures and telecom companies. It is these experiences that have lead us to develop this valuable portfolio of solutions. Our solutions are equal, if not better, than current brand name solutions, and they are not only more efficient, but ultimately less costly to own and operate.

A local auto body shop will be providing better customer service and shrinking the communication cycle with their clients and vendors using telecommunication access from CBeyond and a Branch in Box from OpenIP Solutions. Branch in Box is Open Source Software that resides on a single server using Virtual Machine software. The server runs the applications for IP Security using Vyatta and an Asterisk PBX for voice services. Wireless DECT phones will provide mobility for their management, allowing them to get calls anywhere in the shop.

Our goal is to provide Small and Medium size businesses with communication solutions that are rich with features, highly customized and less expensive than brand name, closed, proprietary technologies. We do this by designing our solutions based on Open Source Projects related to VoIP and CRM, messaging in the cloud by Google, and Telecom Agency with Broadline Solutions and their source of 15 different local and national carriers.

Tom Schooley is a technological visionary. He has the unique ability to be able to see which technology an organization needs, and then help them apply this technology-technology that will not only improve their profitability and efficiency, but reduce costs as well. This foresight requires a broad knowledge of business and technology practices that Tom has acquired over the last 18 years. Tom graduated from Indiana University in 1992 with a BA in Classical Studies and is presently working towards his MBA at the University of St. Thomas. Out of college Tom helped a furniture company organize their furniture building specifications using CAD programs. Since 1994, Tom has worked in sales for value added resellers in an effort to help companies improve voice and data communications. He has experience working with all types of organizations-public, private, non profit and government; small, medium and enterprise. Tom has sold technologies and services in all areas related to Telecom, Communications, Messaging, Security, Storage, and Software Development. He is viewed as a trusted advisor to many businesses in the IT field because of his well executed plans and their successful results.
