The Vocal Record Collectors ’ Society (hereafter, the VRCS) is an organization consisting of record collectors who reside primarily in the New York City metropolitan area. Originally founded in 1956 as one of four competing groups, it was the only one to survive, due to its broad base of membership. In 1959, the VRCS issued its first annual record, an LP containing rare and unusual recordings not available to the general public. The Society has continued to grow (now numbering over 200 members world-wide) and so has the scope of the annual issue, which has been a CD since 1993. The VRCS finds itself with copies of back issues of its annual CDs and is now making them available to record collectors everywhere. Each CD costs $19.90. Norbeck, Peters & Ford is the sole distributor of the VRCS Annual CDs. Their minimum shipping charge is $4.50 (domestric mail).
