John Boisvert’s hands-on business background and knowledge, combined with his extensive executive coaching experience provides his clients with a valuable balance of insight and understanding to go along with practical, direct applications to their issues and opportunities. As a coach, John works with clients on a wide range of issues critical to executive effectiveness. These range from improving their executive presence, to increasing their ability to influence effectively, to expanding their capacity for thinking and planning strategically, to maximizing their personal and organizational performance and contributions. He then works with his clients to apply these skills to significantly improve their ability to: increase their team’s effectiveness, build better organizational alignment and productivity, handle corporate politics in positive and constructive ways, and demonstrate their capacity for bigger challenges and opportunities. John’s 18 years of national and international work experience includes executive positions in general management, sales and marketing, and information technology. He led U.S. and Australasian sales and client services for Elcom International. While at Mellon Trust, he managed the custody management, treasury, and global cash processing systems, with staff dispersed between Boston, Pittsburgh and London. For 10 years John has been a leader in the field of executive coaching. He served as Chairman for the International Executive Coaching Summit, the premier annual conference of top international coaches; and he chaired the Corporate Coaching Committee of the International Coaching Federation of New England. John holds degrees in mathematics and economics from Boston College. He is certified through the Executive Coaching institute and mentors executive coaching students through this program. John’s managerial and executive clients have come from a range of diverse industries, and have included organizations such as: MetLife, Children’s Hospital, American Management Systems, LoJack, State Street Corporation, Fidelity Investments, Verizon, Raytheon, EDS, Bristol Myers Squibb, ÅGFA Monotype, Thomson Financial, Bingham McCutchen, and Hanover Insurance. John serves on public and private sector Boards. Personally, he is a long time mentor and practitioner of public speaking and martial arts. He is also committed to the health and well being of himself, his family, and his clients, and has held leadership roles in non-profit organizations committed to the prevention of child abuse.
