Julia Coburn Julia has been taking photographs on land for a long time, but only recently ventured underwater to take them when she got her Open Water certification in Australia in July, 2001, on the Great Barrier Reef. Once she got over her fear of cold water and kelp, she started diving in Monterey Bay and the Channel Islands, and completed her Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications. She currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, and dives in the Pacific Northwest when she can, but still loves California diving. She has been doing underwater photography for nearly 2 years. Last year, in the Northern California Underwater Photographic Society's 2002 International Photo Competition, she won a first, second and third place. Diana Schmitt Diana started diving in 2001 and found herself with a Sea&Sea DX3000 in her hands about a year later. She is currently outfitting herself with a Light and Motion Tetra housing for an Olympus 5060 and a Sea&Sea YS90DX Strobe. She's an SSI DiveCon who loves NW diving as well as trips to Grand Cayman, Little Cayman, Cozumel, the BVI’s and anywhere she can get underwater with a camera. Steve Billings Steve Billings and his daughter have been diving since Nov. 2000. Steve started underwater photography in 2001 with a trusty Sea&Sea MX-10 which has served him well. In the fall of 2003 he began to put together a digital camera setup using a Nikon Coolpix 995 in an Ikelite housing. Almost all of his diving is in the chilly waters of Washington State
