Sohee Bae - Seoul, Korea Sohee began dancing at a very young age and after graduating from Sunwha Arts High School she attended the Korea National University of Art. In 2005, she joined the Universal Ballet Company for two years. Sohee has performed roles in Swan Lake, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Nutcracker. This is Sohee’s third year with Orlando Ballet. Daniel Benavides - Anaheim, California Daniel began his training with Anaheim Ballet under the direction of Lawrence and Sarma Rosenberg. In 2002, Daniel furthered his training with San Francisco Ballet School on full scholarship followed by two seasons with Boston Ballet II . In 2006, Daniel joined the Suzanne Farrell Ballet Company and performed the British premiere of Balanchine’s Don Quixote at the Edinburgh Festival. Daniel has been a guest performer with Pacific Youth Ballet, New Bedford Ballet and First State Ballet Theatre. This is Daniel’s fourth year with Orlando Ballet. Anita Boer - Baltimore, Maryland Anita (Ani) received her early training at the Susan Ina Dance Studio and Sudbrook Arts Center in Baltimore, MD and performed with the Baltimore County Youth Ballet. She received a scholarship to the Kirov Academy in Washington, DC, graduating with an artistic certificate. Ani studied ballet and modern dance while pursuing a BFA at the Purchase Conservatory of Dance in New York. She also attended summer programs at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Richmond Ballet as well as Orlando Ballet where she was invited to be a trainee in 2006. This is Ani’s second year as a company member. A reum Chung - Seoul, Korea A reum began her ballet training at the age of eight in Korea. She won the Gold Medal in the ballet division at the Korea Folk Art Research Center and was awarded First Prize (ballet) at the Daegu Dancing Center. From 2004-2007, she attended the Korean National University of the Arts in Seoul. She was awarded the Gold Prize at the 32nd Sejong Dance Competition. A reum won 3rd prize (ballet) in the 3rd Seoul International Dance Competition in 2006. This is A reum’s third year with Orlando Ballet. Stefan Drach - Iasi, Romania Stefan began his ballet training in Heidelberg, GE with Carolyn Carattini and Isabel Christie. On moving to the United States in 2001, he studied at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. for seven years with Angelina Armiskiya, Vladimir Djouloukhadze and Anatoli Kucheruk. This is his second year with Orlando Ballet. Andréa Maciel de Faria - Belo Horizonte, Brazil Andréa began dancing at age three with Cristina Helena at the Sesiminas Ballet Institute. She studied with Cristina Helena, Pablo Moret and Joaquim Hans-Tappendorf in Germany in 2003. Ms. Faria has received multiple awards at ballet competitions in Brazil, Argentina, and France. Her repertoire includes Swanilda in Coppelia, Kitri and Cupid in Don Quixote, Myrtha and peasant-pas in Giselle and Medora in Le Corsaire as well as works by George Balanchine. This is Andréa’s third year with Orlando Ballet.
