The sound of his instruments have since surpassed this level and rival the highest qualities of sound (the Bel Canto singing voices of the old Italian instruments) available in the world today. Hristo's nephew Yuriy, is a fine violinmaker in his own right. He carries on the family tradition in Sacramento and in his shop in Haskovo Bulgaria. Yuriy began his violinmaking career in Bulgaria as an apprentice to his uncle at the age of 10. He is highly talented in this art as well as a professional cellist and classical guitarist.
