The Ottawa Ohio Area Chamber of Commerce membership is a diverse mix of businesses, organizations, services, and industries. The Chamber has been effective in providing a growing list of member services. Some of these services include networking opportunities, economic development, information resources, events promotion, participation in social activities, and member business referrals. In addition, the Chamber offers value added benefits such as a group health plan, group rating for worker’s compensation, and a natural gas energy program.

The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce was established before 1950 by a small number of progressive business leaders. It has steadily grown now to 260 members. The Chamber's goal is to provide resources, referrals and promotional opportunities to its membership.

The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce is an assembly of those who are involved with, and have an interest in, business and free enterprise. The Chamber seeks to provide opportunties and support for business owners and leaders to increase their return on investment and create an environment that encourages entrepreneurship including starting new businesses and growing existing businesses. The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce currently unites more than 270 members in an integrated series of programs to strengthen the business climate and region in which we live. Specifically, the Chamber supports: Development initiatives that stimulate commercial activity and the influx of local capital. Member-Investor benefits that are unique value-added services seen by members as a direct return on their annual Chamber investment. Advocacy and representing the interests of business and free enterprise on public policy matters.
