Description

Mr. B.M. Khanna has vast experience in the telecom field serving the Indian Government’s Dept. of Telecom (DOT) for over 40 years, holding several key positions.

In keeping with the overall P2P Cash goal of providing low cost mobile financial services to 3 Billion underbanked consumers, the Trusted Agent Network (TAN) seeks to provide consumers a network of “Trusted Agents” with whom he/she can open a new mobile banking account, deposit/withdraw cash and access financial services such as microloans, insurance and cash transfers.

These consumers already have a cellphone or access to a cellphone, but lack access to traditional banking. The Company is working with the World Bank and Grameen Foundation to help set mobile banking standards that will lower the cost and widen the access to provide a broad range of financial services to the unbanked.

Mr. Horne has tremendous experience in new technology ventures especially in telecommunications. He was Vice President for Nortel Networks focusing on the Finance markets with an emphasis on e-commerce and managed Nortel’s internal venture fund. He was Chairman of NetActive, an internet security company and Board member of Ceon Corporation, a telecommunications software company. Previously, Robert was Vice President for Digital Equipment Corporation and General Manager in Latin America for Stauffer Chemical.

P2P Cash is working with the World Bank to establish worldwide mobile banking standards. VISA created standard procedures to enable any bank to issue credit cards and any retailer to accept them. We believe that the World Bank will be successful in creating a similar structure to provide financial services to the unbanked. P2P Cash is committing its resources including its patent portfolio to assist in these standard development endeavors.
