PFB Architects, with offices in Cincinnati and Chicago, has extensive experience in healthcare, senior living, commercial, higher education and residential projects nationwide. The firm provides programming, master planning, development advisory, architectural design and interior services.

PFB Architects' Interior Design staff have completed the design and implementation of millions of square feet of interior space. Our projects include small- to mid-sized firms, retail, restaurants, sporting facilities, civic buildings, hospitals, and senior living facilities, and we have done such specialized interior work as medical office suites, surgery centers, laboratories, dental clinics, behavioral health centers, nursing units, and diagnostic and testing suites. We provide our clients with integrated services that include asset analysis, project design, and project implementation.

Shanghai East Medical Center is located four blocks southeast of the famed Jin Mao tower in Pudong. Designed with KAZIA Design Collaborative and AEI Chicago, PFB served as medical planners on the 700,000 GSF replacement hospital project. The project is geared toward high-end healthcare service which embodies a "five-star" hospitality environment. The new hospital adds 400 inpatient beds to the existing 800. Twenty 20 state-of-the-art operating rooms will also be added to the campus. Like a body, our design is shaped by its physical environment and the constraints forced upon it.

PFB analyzed the needs and growth potential of the ABBHH facility and generated a five-year comprehensive master plan that resulted in multiple building expansion projects and various departmental renovations. PFB has extensive knowledge of the latest healthcare trends and has applied their experience in patient-centered care, enhanced patient security and safety, and healing environments to the ABBHH compus. For example, an updated study was conducted to achieve all private nursing units in the existing facility - one of the key points to patient-focused design.

PFB was commissioned by the Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center to perform a master facility plan of the existing campus and to develop five-year master plan options based on the Hospital's strategic direction, business volumes, and space program projections.
