Lighting has become an ever-important element in contemporary living, as people spend prolonged hours in indoor environments and rely on artificial illumination for an extended night life. A sensitive and studied approach is needed to provide illumination that can reveal the true spirit of the architecture while meeting the needs of each client and end user.

Founded in 2004 by Peiheng Tsai and incorporated in 2006, PHT Lighting Design brings over ten years of design and project management experience on small to large scale projects in the US and overseas. Tsai's initial training in architecture informs her synergistic approach to lighting and the built environment, expanding her vision and vocabulary beyond that of a mere lighting engineer. She uses light to play with the given scales within a structure, manipulating a viewer's perception of the space and creating environments for work, relaxation or contemplation.
