PMA was founded in 1971 by Dr. Gui Ponce de Leon , CEO and Managing Principal. Originally from Peru, he came to the United States to study civil engineering, graduating from the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor with the program’s first PhD in Construction Management. His thesis on schedule network simulation, combined with 17 years of experience teaching critical path scheduling, has helped lay the foundation for PMA’s history of innovation in project management.
