We define "Young Professionals" as those individuals who are just entering the workforce, or who have fewer than 5 years of experience in the industry. Our goal is to help these young professionals successfully enter the workforce and make the transition from "student" to "professional." We are dedicated to providing programming, continuing education events, professional support and mentoring systems, and social networking opportunities.

Join PRSA Pittsburgh as we kick off our public service project on behalf of the Chuck Cooper Foundation, a local non-profit dedicated to honoring the legacy of Chuck Cooper, the first African-American drafted into the National Basketball Association. We’ve recruited a group of dedicated individuals who will lead a social media campaign to tell the story of the work being done by the Chuck Cooper Foundation by awarding graduate-level scholarships and providing comprehensive leadership development, professional skills, and opportunities to underserved students. We'll be celebrating the kick-off of the project on Wednesday, 7/30 at the Blue Line Grille's UpTown rooftop deck ( http://www.pghuptown.com/ ) at 1014 Fifth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. This is a great chance to help a local nonprofit organization benefiting the Chuck Cooper Foundation, while networking with other industry professionals at the same time! The fun starts at 5 p.m. with free munchies and a cash bar. We’d like to suggest a donation of $10 and will be having raffle prizes, where proceeds will be donated directly to the Chuck Cooper Foundation.
