The Play Therapy Training Institute, Inc. is pleased to offer a small variety of one day Play Therapy Seminars to psychologists, play therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses and all other mental health professionals. The average class size in our program is less than 15, a factor that contributes to an ideal learning environment. Due to limited seating, early registration is strongly recommended. The seminars will be held in Monroe Township, New Jersey, a short distance from Princeton University.
The play Therapy Training Institute, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 1986 to offer educational programs in the field of Play Therapy. Its mission is to help professionals develop a sub-specialty in Play Therapy.
This is a didactic and experiential workshop designed to introduce participants to sand tray play therapy. An overview of the necessary materials (sand, water, miniature objects) needed to set up and begin utilizing sand tray play therapy will be presented. Participants will have their own experience of working directly in the ;sand. They will explore how to invite, observe, experience and process this method of play therapy with their clients.
