PC Professional, Inc. was started in January 1986 by Tim Boyer. Having seen many people who had bought computers lose their excitement and become disgusted with their new machines, he decided his help was needed. He felt he had solutions to their problems. His plan was to not only sell hardware and software, but to set-up the systems so that any first time user could sit down to the computer and start working with minimal difficulty. PC Professional soon became Netware Authorized, and not only installed the hardware and networks, but became the system administrator for many of its clients. Today, one of the corporate officers is a Novell CNE (Certified Netware Engineer) and is working on becoming a Novell ECNE and Microsoft NT MCSE certified. The company became SCO Authorized in 1989, and was then able to give its clients a choice in multi-user systems. We have installed and supported the Unix platform since 1989. Many of these systems have custom applications. Today, we are also Unix Masters with Unix and Linux. Also, one of our engineers is a SCO Certified Engineer (SCO ACE). We provide Professional Support for Microsoft Windows NT and all windows versions. It became obvious that small and medium size businesses need someone they can depend on to guide them in making wise decisions in hardware, software applications and operating systems. PC Professional studied various business applications, and made selections of various programs in order to have a well rounded solution to its customers' needs. Those applications cover a wide range to include the legal and medical fields plus a large focus on the accounting needs of any business. PC Professional has been an Authorized Reseller of the award winning Mas90 evolution/2 software by State of the Art or Sage software. We are authorized for DOS, Windows and all flavors of Unix, Unix client server and Windows NT client server.. We also have written our own accounting software which runs on dos, windows and unix. Today, PC Professional is a one stop solution for businesses of any size. It offers consulting to assure the customer that the system recommended will meet their needs. Installation is complete up to, and including, software installations and menu systems to insure ease of use. Training is given when requested on the system operations or software packages installed.
