At Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, Dr. Gregory Pamel has been the principal investigator for the phase III FDA trial for the treatment of high myopia (nearsightedness). He traveled to the Netherlands to study the technique with the developer Jan Worst, M.D., more than 10 years ago and has had the longest experience of any doctor with the Verisyse™ phakic lens implant.

Gregory J. Pamel, M.D., is one of the first laser eye surgeons in New York to offer laser refractive cataract surgery using the Optimedica Catalys Precision Laser Platform femtosecond cataract system. Dr. Pamel is able to offer the widest range of customization to his laser cataract surgery patients, and provide a custom solution that will best meet the unique needs of each patient.

Dr. Pamel also has experience in other vision correction technologies to offer patients the best option for the correction of their nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. Over the last 15 years, more advanced technologies have emerged which are better suited for certain patients than laser vision correction. These include advances in cataract and lens implant surgery.
