Founded in 2007 by a group of seasoned leveraged finance professionals, Pangaea Asset Management is a specialized asset management firm based in Chicago, Illinois. Our business is focused primarily on managing leveraged loan collateral with a significant allocation to middle-market loans.

Norwest Equity Partners VIII, LP (“NEP VIII”) alongside Pangaea management have committed $75 million to support Pangaea’s growth. NEP VIII is the most recent fund raised by Norwest Equity Partners, a leading private equity firm with a heritage that dates back to 1961 and currently has over $3 billion under management. Wells Fargo & Co. has been the major limited partner in Norwest Equity Partners for more than 40 years.

Pangaea currently manages senior secured debt investments in over 200 below investment grade companies.
