Description

In July 1984 the KPHTA Board of Directors voted to separate the transportation section into its own nonprofit entity, and Kitsap Paratransit was formed. This new company continued to provide transportation services to people who had mobility impairments, and for Medicaid clientele through an agreement with the Washington State Division of Medical Assistance.

The Board of Directors and Executive Management Team of Paratransit Services are dedicated to guaranteeing that our company never falters in its mission to provide quality coordinated transportation and community services that meet the special needs of the people we are entrusted to serve. 2014 marks our 34th Year as an industry leader in community-based, coordinated transportation and brokerage systems.

Responsible for working with trip request data to develop efficient schedules and perform dispatching duties. Responsible for reviewing, revising, and producing final schedules using scheduling software; refines trip assignments to increase productivity, improve ride quality, and adjust individual route schedules to provide resources that match demand. Analyzes feedback and service delivery issues and recommends and implements changes. Schedules driver assignments. Dispatches vehicles and drivers through the use of a computerized dispatch system.

Paratransit Services uses Trapeze software (see Tech Partners) to broker Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) for Medicaid clients, a service we provide under contract with the State of Washington from our call center in the Seattle-area city of Bremerton. The Trapeze "PASS" program allows easy access to a variety of brokerage scheduling functions, while minimizing the amount of time required to process a ride request. Paratransit Services has developed several software applications that supplement the capabilities of Trapeze PASS.
