The law firm of Passman & Kaplan, P.C., was founded in 1989. We at P&K practice law at the highest level of professionalism, in the atmosphere of a small firm. Our small size provides that our clients receive professional, individualized attention within an economical fee structure.P&K also provides diverse services to our union clients. We not only represent unions and union members in litigation and arbitrations, we also provide other important services to unions. Specifically, P&K advises unions on contract negotiations, represents unions at the bargaining table, and provides training to union officers and stewards. Furthermore, P&K's attorneys are all approved by the Union Privilege Legal Service (UPLS), the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Legal Defense Plan, and the American Association of Retired Persons' (AARP) Lawyer Referral Program.If you need our advice or representation, we will normally start with an "initial consultation." For a $300 fee, which includes a copy of the Federal Employees Legal Survival Guide (2nd Edition) ($350 for long distance initial consultations, without a copy of the FELSG2), you will meet with an attorney who will review your case and advise you as to how your legal rights can be protected. Usually, an evaluation of your case can be made at that consultation. If, after that evaluation, you decide you want P&K to represent you, we will enter into a written agreement that specifies the exact matter for which you will be represented and the terms of that representation.
