Description
The South Fork of the Flathead River is located in the 1.5-million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness. Formed from the junction of Danaher Creek and Young's Creek, this legendary river is known in the Montana fly fishing world as the mecca for dry-fly Cutthroat fishing. Good anglers report catches of over 100 fish a day, while novices can easily land 30 native cuts. The South Fork of the Flathead River is the only place where you're allowed to target the ferocious Bull Trout. These lurkers of the deep can reach over 30 inches.
