Description
In 1999, for their 50th Anniversary, McIntosh decided to do something special and had Sidney Corderman create the 50th Anniversary MC2000 , its little brother the MC2102 tube amp, and a successor to the C22, the C2200 tube preamp. Like all Anniversary editions, these were released with gold plated chassis. The release and success of these re-ignited a fire in the McIntosh design staff leading to an award-winning string of products including the MC501 amplifier, the C1000 preamplifier, the MDA1000 digital-to-analog converter, and the MX-135 home theater processor. Here at Pearl Audio, Portland’s longest running McIntosh dealer, we sold all of these and absolutely loved their combination of classic good looks and state-of-the-art performance.
