With the focus squarely on its residents, Penacook Place features forward-thinking, unique programs. For example, our award-winning Tree of Dreams program turns residents’ wishes into reality. And we have a dynamic, progressive initiative to maintain a home-like setting for our residents, staff, and family members. In addition to providing rehabilitation services for our long-term residents, Penacook Place also offers a comprehensive range of therapeutic services for short-term residents expecting to return home.

As part of its mission to provide the highest possible quality of life for its residents, Penacook developed the Tree of Dreams, an award-winning wish-granting program, in conjunction with Second Wind Dreams . Penacook’s “dreamweavers” are the hard-working staff members who turn residents’ dreams into reality.

As the area’s only not-for-profit skilled nursing and rehab facility, Penacook Place has a special relationship with the community and values the many friends who support the facility with their donations. They know that we are here when they need us; and we are grateful that they heed our call and help us uphold our mission and our reputation for quality of life and compassionate care.

Because of the population it serves, most of Penacook's work in the community tends to focus on seniors. For example, Rosanne is a member of the Greater Haverhill Breakfast Exchange Club, which meets regularly at the Haverhill Council on Aging and is dedicated to issues involving seniors. Among the projects that the club has organized and that Penacook has supported are a fundraiser to provide fuel assistance to seniors, a taxi voucher program to help seniors get transportation to medical appointments, and a food drive (which includes a food donation bin at Penacook) to help area food pantries.
