Established in March 1997, Pentecom is a woman-owned, small business based in Palestine, Texas, USA. Our employee base has unparalleled experience in providing a full range of technical data conversion and standards consulting. Our staff is well-versed in XML, SGML, PDF, HTML, and word processing formats. We have successfully converted documents in compliance with a wide variety of standards and specifications including Military Specifications and other Industry Standard document and file specifications.
Hardcopy medical journals to SGML text format: MDConsult, a consortium of medical publishers, has an ongoing contract with Pentecom to convert medical journals to SGML. The work includes the conversion of two journals per month plus medical practice guides and prescription inserts as needed. MDConsult loads the SGML data delivered by Pentecom into a database that populates their online information service for physicians. Since December 1997, Pentecom has converted over 35,000 pages. This project has performed on schedule and within budget for over 4 years.
