How long do I need to keep my pet off the grass after you spray? We asked that you keep your pet off the grass until the grass has completely dried. This may take one to several hours. If you are in doubt on how long to keep your pet off the lawn, wait 24 hours before letting your pet on the lawn. How long do I need to wait after you spray to mow? This depends on what type of application we are doing. We would like to see you wait at least 24 hours after we spray a broadleaf control product (for dandelions, clover, buckhorn, etc.) before mowing. This gives the broadleaf control product the time it needs to be completely effective. We will inform you if you can mow before this time. Will the applications hurt my flowers or garden? We are able to spray close to flowers or gardens without hurting them. Care is taken so as not to hurt the plants. We have never had any problems spraying around flowers or gardens. Will the applications hurt my pet? There is usually no problem spraying lawns where pets live, but just like people, pets can be allergic to certain things. If you take care not to allow your pet in the lawn until after it dries, there should be no problem. Let us know if you have a pet that may be in the lawn, and we can help you determine when it will be safe for your pet to return to the lawn. How soon can I water after you spray? Just like mowing, the longer you can wait for the broadleaf control product to do its job the better. At least 48 hours after we spray is the best. What are those dark green circles in my lawn? This is most likely a fungus called "fairy ring" This cannot be effectively controlled with a fungicide. It will not hurt your lawn. It is a cosmetic problem that can be masked with applications of fertilizer. When I walk through my lawn my shoes turn orange. Is this a disease? This is a disease called "rust". In many cases this disease will only thin your lawn a little. However, severe cases may cause more damage. We can help you determine what action to take. Will I have to mow more if I start a lawn treatment program? Not necessarily. If your lawn is mostly weeds you are probably mowing them more often than if you had no weeds and only grass. A properly fertilized lawn will only add approximately 3-5 more mowings per season. The amount of water supplied to the lawn is more a determinant of the amount of mowings in a season.
